We finally finalized the adoption and that was a good feeling, but I think the better feeling was knowing that now we could be sealed as a family and she could be blessed at church. All 3 things happened within 2 weeks.
We finalized on the 15th of December, got sealed on the 23rd of December (14 years to the day I got home off my mission), and blessed her at church on the 26th(Sarah's youngest brother Matthew's farewell). Very busy but very much worth it. The sealing was great and it was also the first time the entire Johnston family was at the temple together. Matthew had just been to the temple and he is now at the MTC on his way to Brazil.
We loved Utah and being with family and friends and contemplated the idea of moving back. The thought of everything we'd have to do to make the move this year just sends Sarah into early labor so we aren't discussing it any more. But if in 6 or 7 weeks she hasn't delivered yet, we may start the conversation back up again.
